At the young age of 13, David walked into the Band room at McLane High School. The band teacher said, you're big enough to carry this tuba. Go into that room and don't come out 'til you can make a sound. Later, as a certified band geek he picked up the trombone and the bass because he couldn't get into a real band playing tuba. I was born with a silver trumpet in my mouth. I've been playing music all my life. I acquired a trumpet (gold, actually) from dad, who musically, came from a swing and classical background.
